Carex flacca Blue Zinger

Height: 0,3–0,4 m

Blue Zinger is a low-growing ornamental grass, about 25 cm tall, with spreading foliage. Its leaves are slightly silvery, almost blue, narrow and lance-shaped. Its light brown panicle-like flower heads appear in early summer, in June. It needs plenty of light, but also grows in partial shade. Well-structured soil is ideal for it. Its water needs are moderate. It tolerates dry spells poorly, so it is worth watering regularly with small amounts of water. It can be planted as an edging plant, in perennial flower beds, and is certainly recommended for a sunny garden.
